$72 for Amazon.com Prime Membership--TODAY ONLY!

$72 for Amazon.com Prime Membership--TODAY ONLY!

I've missed the free 2-day shipping all year and have missed many a deal because my cart had not met the $35 minimum for free shipping and the product price either went up or was sold out by the time I reached $35.

This is a savings of $27 off the normal price. In addition, you can save around $20 on TurboTax by being a Prime member when you purchase the software from Amazon, so $47 savings if you think you'll use it.

You can try it FREE for 30 days to determine if it'd be something you would use.

Burt's Bees Grab Bags - $20 for $50 value

Occasionally, Burt's Bees offers Grab Bags where they put random full size products in a bag ($50 worth) and sell it for $25.  Today, they are selling these same bags for $20.  You never know what you are going to get, but they make great gifts.  I seem to always have one of their lip balms on hand.  Plus, the stuff is all natural, so it's hard to go wrong.

The last bag I received contained under-eye cream with royal jelly, 3 lip balms, a wallet/keychain, full size lotion, and a few other products (can't remember them all) along with samples.  I was impressed.

Head on over here to check it out.  Keep in mind, these do tend to sell out quickly.

Cake Pops Maker - $2 - 12/11 and 12/12 ONLY!

This is a really good deal on a Babycakes Cake Pops Maker at Kohl's.  The price at the store is $24.99.  However, the online price is $14.99 and with a printout of the advertised online price, the store will match it.

You can use a 20% off coupon making this only $12.  Then there is a $10 mail-in rebate offer valid only today (12/11) and tomorrow (Monday, 12/12)...making your out of pocket only $2!

It comes with 75 cake pop sticks, an injector for adding filling, and a fork to help lift the cake out of the maker.  I figure the cake pop sticks alone are worth the $2 out of pocket!

Our Kohl's had plenty of these in stock, and you can purchase up to 2 with the rebate!

Rockin' Green Detergent

For those wanting all natural detergents to use on their clothes (or those of us trying to do cloth diapering), here's a deal scenario to get Rockin' Green detergent for a little over $7 per 48 oz (regular price is $16).

Go to www.livingsocial.com to purchase a $25 voucher to GreenCupboards.com for $12 (this will be even cheaper if it is your first purchase at Living Social--you'll receive $5 off).

Within the next 2 days, purchase the "Deal of the Week" at GreenCupboards.com which is 2 Rockin' Green detergent bags for $15.95, using your Living Social voucher.

Your total will be $31.90, roughly $10 for shipping, making your total around $41.90.  Subtract the $25 voucher you used and your out of pocket will be $16.90, plus the $12 you paid for the voucher and it comes to about $7.23/bag.

*NOTE: The Living Social link above is my referral link.  If you do not feel comfortable using it, you can still go directly to the livingsocial.com link.

Money Saving Mom's Budget

So much of my "inspiration" (i.e. good deals!) comes from the Money Saving Mom's blog.  We share similar convictions, a love for staying debt free, and a good bargain.  While working part time, she and her husband managed to pay his way through law school while not going into debt, they paid 100% down for their first home, and she has managed to create and maintain a very successful blog and following.  With 3 kids, she seems to do it all (although she admits otherwise).  For the past year, she has been working on her first book in print and I am proud to endorse it here.

You can currently preorder it on Amazon for $11.09 and if the price drops between the time you preorder and the day it's released, you will get it for the lower price.

I'm anxious to read it, especially knowing she is a fellow stay at home mother and has done so well managing her household.
